College Park Fire Rescue is made up of a staff of 58 Firefighter/EMT's and Firefighter/Paramedics divided into three shifts (24/48) along with 10 staff personnel. 

Utilizing two engine companies, one squad company, one ladder company and two advanced life support rescue units, CPFR responds from two fire stations located strategically in the community.

College Park Fire Rescue currently enjoys an Insurance Services Organization (ISO) rating of Class 4. CPFR is also the proud recipient of the prestigious Life Safety Achievement Award sponsored by the Residential Fire Sprinkler Institute for the calendar year of 2000 and 2001. Average response time to emergency incidents is 4.5 minutes.

College Park Fire Rescue is an active partner in the area schools through provision of reading tutoring assistance to students, delivery of fire safety education programs, and unique elevator and escalator programs. Additional community outreach efforts include blood pressure screening at both fire stations, as well as appearances at neighborhood festivals and gatherings.

College Park Fire Rescue is certified by the Georgia Firefighters Standards and Training Council as well as the Georgia Department of Human Resources-Emergency Health Section and is a member of the Georgia Mutual Aid Group.
